About

Dr. Na Dai is a Professor of Finance at the University at Albany, State University of New York. Her research is primarily focused on corporate finance, financing for entrepreneurship and innovation, venture capital, private equity and hedge funds. She has presented her work at numerous national and international conferences. Her scholarly works are published in elite business/finance journals, including Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Business Venturing, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Banking and Finance, and Financial Management. She has published two books, “Hedge Fund Structure, Regulation and Performance around the World,” published by the Oxford University Press, and “Entrepreneurial Finance: Managerial and Policy Implications,” published by the World Scientific Publishers. She has also contributed numerous scholarly book chapters published by Elsevier, Oxford, and Wiley, respectively. Dr. Na Dai has received various awards and recognitions for her excellence in research. She has won the Financial Management Association Best Paper Award in Financial Market and Institutions in 2006. One of her papers has been recognized as the Top Ten papers that contributed most significantly to the area of asset management published in Financial Management from 2009-2013. She is also the co-recipient of the 2014 Alternative Investment Management Association (AIMA) Canada ITG Research Award. Dr. Na Dai will be visiting the University of Naples in Italy as the Fulbright Distinguished Scholar in 2023.
