Faculty Expertise and Achievements

Professor Adkins teaches Business Law in the Massry School of Business. Margaret is an attorney and served as a Town Justice in the Town of New Scotland and Village Justice in the Village of Voorheesville as well as an appointed City Court Judge in several local courts before launching a full-time career in higher education. Margaret retired from full-time teaching at SUNY Albany after the spring 2023 semester and enjoys still being a member of the Department of Accounting and Law faculty. Before joining the faculty at SUNY Albany, Margaret was an assistant professor at Southern Vermont College teaching business law and criminal justice courses; she has also taught business law at Siena College and Hudson Valley Community College. 

Research Interests

Of particular interest to Margaret are the areas of business ethics, product liability, and white-collar crime.
