Organizations in Action in New York
  • The Brotherhood Sister Sol (BroSis) is where Black and Latinx youth claim the power of their history, identity and community to build the future they want to see. By educating, organizing and training, we are challenging inequity and creating opportunity for all.

  • Girls for Gender Equity (GGE) works intergenerationally, through a Black feminist lens, to achieve gender and racial justice by centering the leadership of Black girls and gender-expansive young people of color to reshape culture and policy through advocacy, youth-led programming, and shifting dominant narratives.

  • Rising Ground is based in Brooklyn, NY. Their program, Just Us, is a gender-responsive diversion program for girls and LGBTQ+ young people who are either involved, or at high risk of involvement, in the juvenile legal system.

  • GLSEN works to ensure that LGBTQ students are able to learn and grow in a school environment free from bullying and harassment. Together we can transform our nation's schools into the safe and affirming environment all youth deserve.
