COVID Town Hall, Novkov

ALBANY, N.Y. (April 17, 2020) – Rockefeller College Professor of Political Science Julie Novkov will lend her expertise on Monday, April 20th in a virtual town hall hosted by the College of Emergency Preparedness, Homeland Security and Cybersecurity (CEHC) and School of Public Health (SPH). Professor Novkov will discuss the constitutional struggle between the nation’s president and state governors during the current coronavirus crisis.

Hosted by CEHC Dean Bob Griffin and SPH Dean David Holtgrave, the campus community is invited to join the virtual town hall discussion, which will be the fifth in the series providing the latest information and expertise on COVID-19.

The virtual town halls run on Monday nights from 7 to 8 p.m. on Zoom.

CEHC and SPH hosted the first virtual town hall on Monday, March 24th after classes moved to remote instruction. It followed the live University-led discussion in the Campus Center Ballroom on March 4th that gathered hundreds of students, faculty, and staff —“The Emerging Global Epidemic of Novel Coronavirus: What Do We Think? What Do We Know?”

Faculty in CEHC, SPH and the School of Social Welfare have also offered their COVID-19 expertise, along with Griffin and Holtgrave, during the virtual discussions.
