A dialogue and Q&A session with Catherine Bertini ’71 about the international hunger crisis and the critical need for emergency food assistance. Catherine was nominated by President George H.W. Bush in 1989 to serve as Assistant Secretary of Food and Consumer Services for the United States Department of Agriculture. She was executive director of the World Food Programme from 1992-2002 and has been celebrated internationally for her leadership and dedication to solving global food insecurity. In 2003, Catherine was named the World Food Prize Laureate for her achievements with WFP.
