Play an Important Role in PaCE’s Work
Professional & Continuing Education (PaCE) works with faculty and staff in UAlbany’s academic departments, schools and colleges to design, develop and teach high quality, in-demand professional and continuing education programs.
Depending on faculty interests and market demand, PaCE not-for-credit programs can be offered in a variety of formats, including webinars, workshops, academies and microcredentials.
PaCE also supports in the development and approval of for-credit microcredentials stacking to a certificate or degree program.
To meet the needs of today’s learners, we encourage faculty to develop not-for-credit microcredentials that stack into pathways toward current for-credit certificates and degrees.
How We Can Help
PaCE provides faculty and staff with the guidance and support they need to make UAlbany's professional and continuing education programs a success.
We can help with:
- Assessing market demand for new programs, topics and modalities
- Developing new courses, microcredentials, academies and other workshops
- Facilitating the University approval process for microcredentials
- Designing, creating and awarding digital badges and certificates of completion
- Connecting faculty with employers who want to expand their workforce’s skills through custom training programs
- Marketing programs and communicating with potential learners in collaboration with the school, college or department
- Offering instructor workshops and a learning community for professional education in collaboration with the Center for the Advancement of Teaching, Learning, and Online Education (CATLOE)
PaCE also maintains the University’s online catalog of programs and a database of credential earners.
