Introduction
Theodore "Teddy" Wilson is an associate professor in the School of Criminal Justice. He earned his PhD in criminology and criminal justice in 2017 from the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice at the University of Maryland in College Park. His research interests include decision making (offenders, defendants, and courtroom actors) and quantitative methods. His current research focuses on applying concepts from behavioral economics and offender decision making to help explain defendant decision making around guilty pleas. This pursuit has involved surveying general samples, student samples, and incarcerated samples on their willingness to take guilty plea deals. He is also interested in unpacking and explaining racial disparities arising throughout the sentencing process.

Teddy's primary research interests include decision making (both on the part of offenders and criminal justice practitioners) and quantitative methods. He is also interested in unpacking and explaining racial disparities arising throughout the sentencing process.
