The University at Albany's AI Plus Institute Director Balakrishnan (Prabha) Prabhakaran is slated to speak at three upcoming conferences hosted in the Capital Region.

During New York State Digital Equity Network's third annual conference, Dr. Prabhakaran will speak during the Digital Inclusion, AI Literacy and an equitable Quantum Future in New York State plenary panel.

The September 29, 2026, conference is hosted in partnership with UAlbany at ETEC. This year's theme is Revisiting New York’s Digital Divide: Solutions for Reaching the Disconnected.

Dr. Prabhakaran will also be a session speaker at GE Vernova's AI Edge Symposium, which will be held from September 29 to October 1, 2026, at GE Vernova's Advanced Research Center in Niskayuna, N.Y.

The AI Edge Symposium combines five major technology tracks into a three-day program featuring keynote talks, technical sessions, and live demonstrations. Industry thought leaders, government agencies and technology partners are expected to attend.

Lastly, at Government Innovation New York, Dr. Prabhakaran will participate in a panel discussion titled, "Leading New York’s Next Chapter of Secure, Connected, and Responsive Government." He has also served as an event steering committee member for the November 12, 2026, program in Albany, N.Y.
