From this point forward, new person (faculty/staff) pages will need to be created by Web Services.
Once Web Services creates person pages, you will be able to edit them. Existing person pages are unaffected by the update, so you can continue to edit or remove them as needed.
We need to make this process change for several reasons. The primary challenge is editors are creating multiple person pages for a single individual. This has become increasingly problematic as it causes duplicate entries in dynamically generated faculty/staff lists and online search.
We're happy to create new person pages for you. Kindly submit a ticket when you need a new person page and a member of our department will contact you when it's complete.
