The last exam check-in is 1:20 p.m. All exams must be complete by 4 p.m.
Note: The following information is intended for students. Instructors should visit the Guidance for Instructors page.
If you have questions about this process and would like to meet with an Accessibility Coordinator, please request an appointment using Accommodate.
To take an exam in the DAISS Testing Center, you must book a seat in Accommodate in advance:
You are expected to schedule exams during the same time, on the same day, as your class is taking the exam, unless it interferes with an approved extended time accommodation.
If an alternative date and time are required, you must:
Accommodate does not allow seats to be booked less than 72 hours in advance, and DAISS cannot guarantee late requests will be accommodated.
If you cannot take your exam as scheduled, please cancel the original booking and create a new one in Accommodate. This will inform your instructor and DAISS of the changes.
For any last-minute adjustments, please email [email protected].
You must arrive at least five to 10 minutes before your scheduled exam.
If you start your exam late because you arrived late, you will not be given extra time and must complete your exam by your booking’s original end time.
However, if you start your exam late for administrative reasons (such as Testing Center staff setting up multiple students, printer or computer issues, etc.), you will receive your full exam time.
If you arrive more than 10 minutes late, DAISS will use to the exam instructions your instructor provided to determine whether you may still take the exam. The exam end time will remain fixed, regardless of late arrival.
Upon arrival, you must put all your belongings (including your bag, cell phone, smart watch, AirPods, etc.) in a locked container.
You may not access your belongings during the exam, unless you have an approved accommodation (such as a glucose monitor) or instructor approval.
You are responsible for bringing all the materials required for your exam, including pens, pencils and calculators. You will not be required to secure exam materials with your belongings.
The Testing Center will provide Scantrons, scrap paper and noise canceling headphones.
If you need to use the bathroom, all materials must remain inside the exam room. Breaks should take no more than five to 10 minutes, unless otherwise noted.
You must complete the exam and hand it in within the allotted time.
All exam rooms are outfitted with a clock, and you must manage your own time. Staff won’t always be able to provide you with reminders, since it could distract other students.
Food and drinks are not allowed in exam rooms. You may have a bottle of water, if needed.
You are expected to uphold the integrity of the examination process, as per the University’s Standards of Academic Integrity.
If there is evidence of academic dishonesty (cheating, plagiarizing, etc.), DAISS Testing Center staff will confiscate your exam and send you back to your classroom.
We will then scan the exam and send it to your instructor with a note detailing the incident, so they may take appropriate action.
If you have a question about the exam instructions or any concerns about the testing environment, please speak to DAISS Testing Center staff immediately.
