Marina A. Petrukhina and Yikun Zhu published a new study featured on the cover of Chemical Society Reviews, the Royal Society of Chemistry's leading reviews journal (impact factor: 39). The review aims to promote further studies of supercharged molecular nanographenes — a longstanding focus of the Petrukhina Lab — and their use as advanced energy-storage materials.
Chanup Jeung received $200,000 from the March of Dimes to evaluate whether state paid sick leave mandates improve access to prenatal care and are associated with lower risk of spontaneous preterm birth. The work aims to inform policies to improve maternal health equity.
Kevin Quinn and Erin Brewer, his colleague at the Child Research and Study Center, have received a $17.5 million, five-year grant from the New York State Council for Children and Families to support the statewide scale-up of the Pyramid Model, a nationally recognized model that uses tiered, evidence-based interventions to support the healthy social and emotional development of young children in early childhood settings.
