UAlbany’s Center for Healthy Aging Appoints New Director
Associate Professor Allison Appleton has been named director of the University at Albany’s Center for Healthy Aging. Launched in 2024, the Center brings together faculty, researchers, students and community partners to advance innovative research, workforce development and community collaborations aimed at promoting healthy aging and longevity.

Nearly 5,000 students celebrated their graduation from the University at Albany this past weekend during the University’s 182nd commencement festivities, held Thursday, May 14, through Sunday, May 17. Among the graduates were an estimated 3,000 undergraduate students and 1,900 graduate students.
