Benjamin Rekemeyer

Ben Rekemeyer joined the Graduate School in January 2024. He is responsible for managing and maintaining all funding sources for the Graduate School, including State Funded Allocations and various Foundation Accounts. Ben is also tasked with developing spending plans and providing essential financial support for the school's strategic programs that align with the university's recruitment and retention goals. He oversees the use of graduate student support funding as well as manages tuition scholarship awards. In addition, he collaborates with New York State agencies, coordinating the hiring of student assistants through various Memorandums of Understanding. 

Ben started his career with UAlbany in 2014. Prior to joining the Graduate School, he served as the Administrative Manager for the Physics Department, as well as held various positions in Residential Life, including Residence Hall Director and Apartment Coordinator. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from SUNY Cobleskill and a Master of Science in Education Administration and Policy Studies with a concentration in Higher Education from UAlbany.
