    • Honorable mention: Calvin Giudici, for “Patient on this Tall Pillar”
  • The Shields McIlwaine Award - Lakota Levandowski, for “Recollections from the ‘Puddle’ of Upstate New York aka Binghamton” 
    • Honorable mention - Kayla Carter, for “Harlem (after Miguel Pinero)” 

University Awards

  • Presidential Award for Undergraduate Research - Kaya Carvajal, for “Postcolonial Studies, Climate Change, and Science Fiction:  A Study of James Vandermeer's Southern Trilogy.”
  • Presidential Award for Undergraduate Research - Xavier Fitzsimmons Cruz, for “Literary Guerillas: Understanding Nuyorican nationhood.
  • Alumni Association Albert Husted Scholarship - Linfeng Li, for planning for full-time graduate study in any area of study at UAlbany or any other accredited university.
  • The 2022 Situation Prize for Research (CURCE) - Jewls Douge, for the independent food vlog and website project Beber's Hungry, on food culture in the Bronx.
