CENTER FOR LANGUAGE AND INTERNATIONAL COMMUNICATION
Welcome to the virtual home of the Center for Language and International Communication (CLIC), College of Arts and Sciences, at the University at Albany.
We exist in order to promote the learning and teaching of world languages and cultures through the use of technology and other instructional media. We serve the Languages, Literatures & Cultures and the East Asian Studies departments.
To that end, we offer leadership and excellence in the application, creation, and dissemination of innovations concerning educational technology, second language pedagogy, global media and materials for all members of the UAlbany community who utilize world languages in their studies, teaching, or research.
If you have questions about how the CLIC can help you integrate foreign language technologies in your classes or how the CLIC can help you learn a language, please feel free to stop by or write us.
In July 2019, the CLIC received funding from the Provost’s Office and the College of Arts and Sciences Dean’s Office allowing us to purchase all new computers for the laboratory. The setup was completed over the summer and we are happy to report that the lab is now ready for the Fall 2019. These upgrades will enhance the students & instructors’ experience. We are very thankful to the Provost’s Office and to the Dean’s Office of the College of Arts and Sciences for making it happen.
