Tom joined CHSR in 2017, bringing with him experience in research and evaluation in several areas, including service coordination for youth and young adults with mental health challenges, parental involvement in services for youth in transition to adulthood, and recovery-oriented approaches to mental health. He has also worked with several youth and family support and advocacy organizations in North Carolina to enhance representation of service participants’ voice in design and delivery of mental healthcare. He is currently working on the Small Scale Time and Motion Study with OPWDD and evaluation of NYS Youth and Families ACHIEVE.

Tom received a Ph.D. in Health Psychology with a concentration in Community Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2016.
