Evaluation of the Summer Youth Employment Program

City of Albany's LIGHT (Learning, Initiative and Gaining Headway Together) Summer Youth Employment Program(SYEP) (SYEP) is designed to provide youth with a summer work experience.

The goal of the program is to help youth develop the skills and experience needed for future employment. The CHSR is partnering with SYEP to conduct an evaluation of the program.

Evaluation & Research

The CHSR developed surveys for youth and employers participating in the SYEP. The surveys were designed to assess the utility of the program in enhancing the educational and vocational development of youth. Additionally, the CHSR conducted an analyses of the educational outcomes of youth participating in the SYEP.
