Rose Greene & Ellen Unruh to present at the 19th National Conference on Child Abuse and Neglect.
Rose Greene & Ellen Unruh. Evaluating the Implementation and Effects of Co-locating DV Advocates in Child Welfare Offices. Paper Presentation at the 19th National Conference on Child Abuse and Neglect. New Orleans, LA. April/May 2014.
The presentation discussed the findings of an evaluation of statewide collaborative program designed to assist families in the child protective system (CPS) who are also experiencing domestic violence (DV). The program involves the co-location of a DV Advocate at a CPS office of the local social services district. While this model holds promise, it had not been rigorously evaluated. The presentation reported on the quasi-experimental process and outcome study that included surveys, focus groups, and case record reviews. Additionally, practice and policy implications for those considering a similar model of intervention were discussed.NCCAN Presentation
