How to Make an Appointment

Please note that we are closed during the summer and winter sessions, when classes are suspended for other holidays/vacations as indicated by the University-wide academic schedule, and when classes are cancelled due to inclement weather.

The Writing Center offers both in-person and Zoom appointments throughout the week.

We are located in Humanities 140.

We accept walk-ins Mon-Thurs 10am-4pm, though we strongly recommend making an appointment.

How to Make an Appointment

 You can make and cancel appointments using the EAB/Student Success Portal.

1. Log in to the EAB system using your UAlbany NetID and Password.
2. Click the blue “Make an Appointment” button.
3. Select “Tutoring” and then “Writing Center Tutoring” from the drop-down menus. Choose the date for which you would like to schedule a tutorial and click “Find Available Time.”
4. Select the time and date that works best for you.

*To see only in-person or only Zoom appointments, select your preferred meeting-type from the “How would you like to meet?” drop-down menu on the left.
