Former WCI Lecturer Returns to Lead Workshop on AI
On November 20, 2025, Titcha Ho, a former colleague in the Program in Writing & Critical Inquiry (currently teaching at Baruch College) returned to the UAlbany campus to lead a workshop on AI titled, "AI as Your Writing Partner: Practical and Ethical Strategies for Academic Success." The event was sponsored by the WCI AI & Writing Committee.
At the workshop, students and faculty were able to glimpse how Titcha approaches the use of AI in her writing classes. Some of the topics discussed included the following: using detailed prompts to help ask constructive questions; when students should not use AI; and some of the concerns surrounding losing one's authentic voice. Both instructors and students left with some additional thoughts and strategies that can be used inside and outside of the classroom.
