Featuring drawings, animations, video projections, and inflated sculptures of quasi-figurative characters engaged in a series of bizarre and unruly power struggles. Part Hieronymus Bosch, part Hello Kitty, Hwang’s fully-realized characters reign over a fantastical universe where, according to the artist, “they mutate, make love, eat, defecate, kill, or simply move in endless circles for all eternity.”
