ALBANY, N.Y (January 24, 2022) – A recent study from the School of Public Health shows that Instagram posts promoting injury prevention messages to parents often include pictures that do not show the desired safety recommendation— and some do not provide a clear action that parents should take to help prevent injury. This may cause confusion for parents on how they can best keep their children safe.

Increasing Female Dentists Improves Health Equity
ALBANY, N.Y. (January 11, 2022) - The dental profession is undergoing substantial demographic changes, especially in relation to gender. A new study conducted by the Oral Health Workforce Research Center (OHWRC) at the University at Albany’s Center for Health Workforce Studies (CHWS) builds on their previous work on gender diversity in dentistry. Researchers used data from the 2014-2018 American Community Survey (ACS) to assess variation in workforce participation patterns among dentists related to certain personal characteristics.
