Supplier Diversity Program

About UAlbany's Supplier Diversity Program

Minority and Women Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) & Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business (SDVOB)

The University at Albany is committed to ensuring that NYS certified MWBE and SDVOB firms are given the opportunity to provide the University with commodities and services at competitive prices.

The Supplier Diversity Program is responsible for ensuring SUNY's compliance with Executive Law Article 15-A and Executive Law 17B.

In terms of statutory requirements, the MWBE Program of the State University of New York is responsible for ensuring SUNY's compliance with Executive Law Article 15-A which mandates state agencies to establish business and employment participation goals for minorities and women on State contracts.

Executive Law 17B ensures SDVOB firms, certified by the New York State Office of General Services (OGS), have an equal opportunity to receive and participate in University procurements.  It is the intent of the University to reach, annually, a SDVOB utilization goal of 6% as established by Executive Law 17B.
