Physics: A Question of Fun?

We were fortunate to have the creativity of Professor Matthew Szydagis put to some fun use this past spring semester. Thanks to his efforts we were able to sponsor a “game show” event where the students would make an educated guess at the answer to questions about physics. There was a master of ceremony, a panel of participants, questions and answers, buzzers, and the excitement that many of you are so familiar with as a game show format. The production was enjoyable, entertaining, and informative. All agreed it was a great way to take a break and do a little learning at the same time. It was a chance to reinforce the material that our students have been learning about and experimenting with in their studies while having a little fun and refreshment at the same time.
