Physical Education Building - Main Entrance Door Repair

Dear Members of the UAlbany Community,

Please be advised of the following work taking place at the Physical Education building entrance facing the Broadview Arena. During this time, Facilities Management will remove the main entrance door to repair a broken hinge. 
Work is expected to begin on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at 7:00 AM and is expected to be completed by Thursday, December 11, 2025 at 3:00 PM.

Critical Work Description or Scope:

We will be repairing the main entrance door to the Physical Education building, located on the Broadview arena side. We must remove the door and fix the hinge. When we have the door off and are not working in the doorway, we will attempt to cover the opening with plastic to slow down the amount of cold air entering the building. The repair is scheduled for Wednesday but will be pushed to Thursday if there is bad weather Tuesday night into Wednesday.

-    Access/Egress
-    Noise - Will be kept to a minimum during class time and scheduled quiet times
