Physical Education & Broadview - High Temp Hot Water Repairs

Dear Members of the UAlbany Community,

Please be advised of the following work occurring on the north side of Physical Education. This work is necessary to support High Temp Hot Water underground piping system repairs. During this time, work will result in loss of heating to Physical Education and Broadview, as well as loss of domestic hot water to Physical Education.
Work is expected to begin on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at 11:00 PM and is expected to be completed by Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at 12:00 PM.

Critical Work Description or Scope:

There is a leak in the underground High Temperature Hot Water system that supplies Physical Education and Broadview, requiring repairs. On November 19, the system will be shut down at 11:00 PM to allow the pipe to cool, enabling the Grounds Department to excavate the pipe on November 20. The system will return to regular operation around 3:00 PM on November 20. The system will then be shut down again at 11:00 PM on Sunday, November 23, to allow for repairs to be made from November 24 to November 26. Once the repairs are finalized, the system will be fully restored.
