Please be advised of the following work occurring on the Uptown Campus in the Chemistry Building. This work is necessary to replace the chiller on the roof that serves lab B16.
Work is expected to begin on Thursday, June 4, 2026 and be completed by Friday, June 12, 2026. Work is expected to begin at 7:30 AM and end by 3:30 PM daily.

Removal of Existing Rooftop Chiller Unit and Installation of a New Chiller
Potential Impacts on Surrounding Areas:
• During this time, lab B16 will not have process cooling.
• Facilities may request temporary pause in lab hood activities in Chemistry on certain days to allow workers to work safely on the roof near the fume hood exhausts.
• Work also requires temporary road closure and use of crane on Wednesday, 6/10/2026 between 9AM and 12:30PM. Please follow posted signage for any traffic redirection and please do not occupy the 3rd floor during this time.
• Work may result in construction noise.
