Social Sciences Building - Podium Canopy Repair Project

Work Alert Notification

Dear Members of the UAlbany Community,

Please be advised of the following work on the Podium Canopy Repair Project at the Social Sciences Building. This work is necessary to support the ongoing restoration program of the original Edward Durell Stone architecture. During this time work may result in dust and construction noise.

Work is expected to take place over the next year, beginning on Monday, June 30, 2025, with typical workdays beginning at 6:00 AM and concluding at 5:00pm.  Work is expected to be completed by Friday, July 31, 2026, at 5:00pm. Weather and seasonal conditions may limit activities on the building.
