Academic Podium Southern Stairwell to LC - Closed for Repair

Work Alert Notification

Dear Members of the UAlbany Community,

Please be advised that effective this afternoon, the Academic Podium staircase near the Campus Center that leads down to the main fountain and the Lecture Center has been closed for repairs. The North Staircase, opposite this set of stairs, will remain open and detour signs will be posted.

Work is expected to begin on Friday, March 7, 2025 at 7:00 AM and is expected to be completed by Friday, March 21, 2025 at 5:00 PM.

Staircase will be closed to repair damage to the stair treads incurred due to cold weather conditions.

  • Other: Detours will be directing pedestrians to other means of egress and access to the Lecture Center.
