Great Dane Family Weekend

Registration & Cancellation Information

The $35 Family Weekend registration fee includes:

Parking in designated Family Weekend parking lots
Access to Family Weekend events, educational sessions and activities
Access to purchase admission to ticketed Family Weekend events
Family Weekend giveaway item: UAlbany blanket (one per family)
Online registration services, registration materials, facility rentals, staff and service fees

Some events require additional fees and/or advance registration, which families could select while registering for Family Weekend. Families can create their own schedules and choose which events, sessions and activities they would like to attend based on availability, interest and budget.

Please note:

Registration closed at noon EST Friday, September 26, 2025.
Cancellations, reservation changes and refunds will only be honored if completed by noon EST Friday, September 26, 2025. Football tickets are not refundable.
Onsite registration will not be offered.

When: Trolley tours will run during four times slots on Saturday, October 4, 2025:
- 10 to 10:30 a.m.
- 10:30 to 11 a.m.
- Noon to 12:30 p.m.
- 12:30 to 1 p.m.
Where: Campus Center Bus Loop
What: Take a ride on UAlbany’s electric trolley with a UAlbany Student Ambassador. Note: Space is limited. The trolley will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

UAlbany Football versus Stony Brook

When: 3:30 to 6 p.m. Saturday, October 4, 2025
Where: Tom and Mary Casey Stadium
What: Come cheer on your UAlbany Great Danes as they take on Stony Brook.
- Tickets & Parking: Football tickets are available for purchase separate from Family Weekend registration.
  - Use promo code UAFAMILY25 to add a student seat to your order for $1.50.
  - If you plan to tailgate in Game Day parking lots, you must also purchase Game Day parking ($15 in advance, $20 same day). Game Day parking gives you access to parking that is close to Casey Stadium for tailgating.
  - If preferred, families can leave their vehicles in the designated Family Weekend parking lots, which are included in Family Weekend registration, and walk to Casey Stadium for the football game.

Performance: Putting Out the Welcome Mat

When: Two performances:

Where: Performing Arts Center
What: Join us for a performance by the Ellen Sinopoli Dance Company (ESDC). In honor of its thirty-fifth anniversary, ESDC is making 35 visits to sites around the Capital Region inviting audiences to have an up-close and personal experience with dance. Performing on a large mat of interlocking squares, around which the audience gathers, the dancers perform works from the company's repertoire of over 90 dances along with new ones specifically created for this series. There's no admission charge, no lighting, no frills — but lots of movement invention, excitement and fun for all ages!

An Evening in the Campus Center
