About

Danielle Wales, MD, MPH is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University at Albany School of Public Health.  She is also on the faculty at Albany Medical Center in the Division of Internal medicine and Pediatrics.

Dr. Wales was one of the first students to complete the MD/MPH program at the University at Albany and Albany Medical College.  She completed her residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Albany Medical Center.  She served as a Pediatric Hospitalist before coming back to the Capital District in 2015.

Dr. Wales works with medical students, residents and public health students in the clinical setting on research and quality improvement projects.  She is the site director of Project FOCUS, an effort to increase hepatitis C screening rates among Baby Boomers.  In addition, she has a strong interest in immunizations and strategies to improve immunizations rates for both adults and children.
