Dear Members of the UAlbany Community,
Please be advised of the following work occurring on the Uptown Campus in the Academic Podium Tunnel. This work is necessary to support High-Temp Hot Water Piping Repairs. During this time, the work will result in a loss of hot water to Biology, Chemistry, Indigenous Quad, Life Science Research Building, Performing Arts Center, and Physics. There also will be limited hot water in Fine Arts, Pine Bush, and University Hall.
Work is expected to begin on Monday, August 10, 2026 at 12:00 PM and is expected to be completed by Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at 2:00 PM.

Critical Work Description or Scope:
A leak has been detected in the high-temperature hot water line within the Academic Tunnel. The area has been isolated by draining and cooling the pipes, allowing for welding repairs scheduled for Wednesday morning.
