Dear Members of the UAlbany Community,
Please be advised of the following work occurring on the Uptown Campus. This work is necessary to maintain the High Temperature Hot Water (HTHW) system. During this time, work may result in the off-gassing and potential smoke in the Maintenance Tunnel of the Campus Podium.
Work is expected to begin on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at 12:00 PM and is expected to be completed by Friday, June 5, 2026, at 12:00 PM.
The University's community should expect possible smoke and smells during the above-mentioned period in the Uptown Campus Maintenance Tunnel, possibly drifting into adjacent areas. Buildings serviced by local systems, ITB, Broadview Arena, Boor Sculpture Studio, Freedom, Empire Commons, Liberty Terrance, and select Residence Halls rooms should be exempt from this circumstance.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding this work, please contact the project manager, David Huber- Central Plant Manager, at [email protected] or at 518-442-3148.
