Instruction & Advising

Courses

Professor Epting's pedagogical approach focuses on helping students develop clarity, purpose and intellectual independence. She encourage students to constantly question their own opinions, arguments and thoughts and to do the same for others in the hopes that students will see writing as a tool for both critical thinking and meaningful engagement with the world. Epting's class uses a combination of analytical and philosophical work, fostering an environment in which students think critically not just about their academic life, but about the world around them.
