Approach to Therapy
You are in the driver’s seat and get to decide what you want for yourself and your life – my job is to help you get wherever that is! I deeply value the therapeutic relationship and love to seek continuous feedback from clients to tailor therapy to their unique concerns. My approach is centered on helping you change how you relate and respond to difficult thoughts and feelings instead of trying to get rid of them. I also love helping clients explore their values, what makes life meaningful, and helping clients better understand themselves. I also take an intersectional and systemic approach to therapy to acknowledge the impact of holding marginalized identities and of systemic oppression.
Approach to Wellness
To me, wellness is about pursuing and engaging with things that feel rewarding and meaningful to you, learning to acknowledge and accept difficult thoughts, feelings and parts of yourself; understanding the way your past can show up in the present, living in line with your values, and being your authentic self.
