Colleges, Schools and Offices Schedule Events Pre- and Post-Election
UAlbany has planned numerous interactive events around Election Day.
ALBANY, N.Y. (Oct. 28, 2020) – With Election Day less than a week away, the University is offering a host of informative panel discussions, a watch party and post-election events.
UAlbany’s Rockefeller College of Public Affairs & Policy, in partnership with UAlbany Votes, has an election series entitled Your Vote Rocks, which features online, interactive discussions on a wide range of topics impacting the election.

100th Anniversary of 19th Amendment
UAlbany celebrates Constitution Day with a panel discussion on the 19th Amendment. Hosted by UAlbany Votes. Connect via Zoom. A reminder: Nov. 3 is the deadline for the Constitution Day Essay Contest.

In other events, the Women’s Resource Center and the Gender & Sexuality Resource Center are planning a Tuesday election night distraction event for those who do not want to engage in the news that night.
- On Wednesday, Nov. 4, the GSRC will host a post-election discussion group at 6 p.m. Zoom link.
- On Thursday, Nov. 5, the WRC will run a post-election discussion group at 6 p.m. Zoom link.
- On Thursday, Nov. 5 at 7 p.m., Residential Life is offering a discussion, The Election is Over, Now What…? in the Sky Lounge, Dutch Quad Penthouse.
The Multicultural Resource Center is offering three events:
- On Monday, Nov. 2, at 7 p.m., The Importance of Your Vote: Your Vote Matters.
- On Tuesday, Nov. 3, at 7 p.m., The Current Election: Going to Vote and Voter Suppression.
- After the Vote: Post Election Dialogue: Date and Time TBD.
