About
Research
As a contemporary folklorist, I examine the intersection of postmodernism with popular culture in Francophone oral literature (rumor, tale, urban legend, slam, etc.) using intermediality as my theoretical approach. I scrutinize authenticity in the realm of representation. My transdisciplinary research focuses on Quebecois storytellers’ conte-spectacle, live and written performance, book-CD/DVD, photographic storytelling, drawing, and film as mediums of choice for preservation and dissemination.
