Globally-Oriented Courses

To complete Global Distinction's interdisciplinary coursework requirement, choose 1 course from each category: Culture, Development, and Transnational.

Whenever possible, you are encouraged to select any listed course that will count in your Major or Minor, or towards your General Education requirements (such as Arts, Challenges, Humanities, and Social Sciences), as no extra coursework is required to achieve Global Distinction.

Alternatively, you can complete any of the 3 course requirements when studying abroad, in high school (via Advanced Placement or University in the High School courses), or as transfer courses (if you studied at another university before coming to the University at Albany.
