About

Lisa has been teaching and working with the international population across age groups and skill levels since 1995. She received the Women of Promise Award from the University of Delaware in 1999 and The Gertrude Hunter Parlin Teacher’s Scholarship from the University at Albany in 2016. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Education Policy and Leadership in Higher Education at the University at Albany. Her research focuses on Collaborative Online International Education (COIL). 

Lisa studied abroad in Nemours, France and lived in Cairo, Egypt. She enjoys practicing her French and Arabic. During her free time, she travels, hikes mountains, practices yoga, and attends personal training at UAlbany’s The Well. She has completed an indoor triathlon and a 5k obstacle course race. She is a proponent of mental and physical health support and believes in the strength of diversity, equity and inclusion.
