East Asian Studies Majors

Minors


Chinese Studies

A minimum of 22 graduation credits of which 10 must be two semesters of language (101 and 102).  The remaining 12 credits include 6 credits from any AEAC or AEAS 100 or 200 level course and 6 credits from any AEAC or AEAS 300 or 400 level course.


East Asian Studies

A minimum of 20 graduation credits of which 5 must be of one semester of any East Asian language. The remaining 15 credits include 6 credits from any AEAC, AEAJ, AEAK or AEAS 100 or 200 level course and 9 credits from any AEAC, AEAJ, AEAK or AEAS 300 or 400 level course.
 

Japanese Studies

A minimum of 22 graduation credits of which 10 must be two semesters of language (101 and 102). The remaining 12 credits include 6 credits from any AEAJ or AEAS 100 or 200 level course and 6 credits from any AEAJ or AEAS 300 or 400 level course.
 

Korean

A minimum of 22 graduation credits of which 10 must be two semesters of language (101 and 102).  The remaining 12 credits include 6 credits from any AEAK or AEAS 100 or 200 level course and 6 credits from any AEAK or AEAS 300 or 400 level course.

Note: Although we do not offer a major in Korean, many of our Korean minors choose to major in East Asian Studies.

 

Note: Students cannot use a minor title that is the same as the title of the student’s major
