About our Colors 

Colors help to build our brand

UAlbany Purple and UAlbany Gold are our primary colors, with purple taking the lead in most use cases. These colors are inextricably linked to the history, culture and community here, uniting every aspect of our organization, from academics to athletics to recruitment. Consistent use of these colors is foundational to our brand, and helps us build strong connections and affiliations, especially with external audiences.  

In the rare case where standardized color swatches are the only choice and our specific purple or gold can’t be color matched, such as with novelty vendors, make every attempt to find the closest match. If a standard color is unavailable, consider white, gray or black.
