About
Mark H. Kuniholm, PhD, has served on the faculty of the College of Integrated Health Sciences at the University at Albany since 2016.
Dr. Kuniholm has worked in the fields of HIV/AIDS and viral hepatitis epidemiology since he was a graduate student and conducted the first nationally representative study of hepatitis E virus epidemiology as a post-doctoral researcher at the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health in 2008. Dr. Kuniholm joined the faculty of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 2008 first as an instructor and then as a research assistant professor where he received further training in molecular and genetic epidemiology of infectious diseases.
Dr. Kuniholm's current research includes molecular, genetic, and clinical epidemiology studies of people living in the United States and around the world. He has authored over 80 professional publications and serves as academic and/or thesis advisor to students in multiple UAlbany College of Integrated Health Sciences degree programs: MPH, MS, and PhD.
