Brief Bio: Sarah Giragosian received her PhD from the University at Albany-SUNY in 20th c. North American Poetry and Poetics. Her poems have recently appeared in Ecotone, 2016 Best of the Net Anthology, Flyway, Prairie Schooner, and The Missouri Review, among others. A winner of the 2014 American Poetry Journal Book Prize, her first book "Queer Fish" has just been published from Dream Horse Press. Her research focuses on zoological and ecological imaginations of North American modernist poets, and her book-in-progress "Queer Creatures, Queer Times" undertakes a critical evaluation of the modern lyric's potential to furnish queer possibilities of being and relation that are negotiated via the animal subject.
