ALBANY, N.Y. (August 27, 2021) - Working with UAlbany School of Public Health, the New York State Department of Health recently released data on the effectiveness of vaccines in the fight against COVID-19 — showing that vaccinations remain the best way for New Yorkers to protect themselves, families and communities from COVID-19 and its most severe outcomes such as hospitalization.

This work was featured in the August 18, 2021 White House briefing and has been included in over 350 news stories. The research also falls in the top 5% of all research outputs scored by Altmetric, an online source that gives insight into how often – and where – scholarly outputs are discussed around the world.
