MS in Population Health Nursing

With a Master’s in Population Health Nursing, you will have the expertise to educate, assess, treat and advocate for the health of the populations you serve across the care continuum.
In this online program, you’ll acquire expertise in population and community needs assessment, epidemiology and biostatistics, systems thinking and planning, and social and behavioral aspects of health.
You'll gain professional experience through immersive clinical learning opportunities in public health and population health settings, preparing you for work in state and local health departments, community health organizations, home health agencies, schools and colleges, occupational health facilities, insurance companies and traditional health care organizations.

Improve Health and Prevent Disease Across Populations
UAlbany’s Master of Public Health (MPH) program provides you with a strong foundation in primary public health fields and advanced knowledge in your area of interest.
Concentration options include biomedical sciences, biostatistics, environmental health, epidemiology, health policy and management, and social behavior and community health.
If you’re interested in earning your degree part-time from anywhere, you can choose to enroll in our fully online MPH program with a concentration in public health practice. You’ll receive the same rigorous education you’d receive on our campus, with the benefit of completing your degree remotely.
You’ll gain professional experience through our extensive internship program. Complete 720 hours of internship in two different settings, and be prepared for positions in state and local health departments, community-based organizations, non-governmental organizations, and private-sector businesses.
