Classes suspended today

March 13, 2020

Dear Campus Community,

We have decided to suspend classes at UAlbany today, Friday, March 13. As we announced previously, classes will be offered remotely after spring break, starting on Monday, March 23, until further notice. Suspending classes today will give faculty and staff important additional time to prepare for that transition.

Please know that the business building will be open and resume normal operations this morning. Also, let me reiterate that UAlbany’s three campuses will remain open, including our residence halls, libraries, offices, and dining services.

We will continue to monitor developments related to COVID-19 with guidance from our local and state health departments and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Please monitor your email for additional updates throughout spring break. For additional information, also visit the COVID-19 information page on our website.

Three important traits that will distinguish us as the Great Dane family in these challenging times are leadership, empathy, and flexibility. All of you play a critical role in each of these areas, and we sincerely appreciate everything that you do on behalf of the University.

These are truly the times when we, as a University community, can help unleash UAlbany’s greatness.

Sincerely,

Havidán Rodríguez
President
