Michael Deem Visiting Scholar 2013

In 2013, our chapter worked with the Physics and Biological Sciences Departments to host Visiting Scholar Dr. MIchael W. Deem, John W. Cox Professor in Bioengineering at Rice University.  Dr. Deem gave a public lecture titled Impacting Climate Change: New Materials for Carbon Capture, lectured in Physics and Biology classes, and attended an informal pizza dinner with members of the Physics Student Association to talk about careers in biophysics.
