This intensive teaching and learning workshop will provide higher education faculty with key strategies for keeping college students engaged in their educational journey. Designed by faculty for faculty, the program provides actionable, research-based best practices professors can implement for both online and in-person classes focused on teaching tips that are backed by research and student insights.
The most powerful insights about teaching often come from those we teach — our students. In this interactive training, you'll hear directly from students as they share real stories about the teaching strategies that helped them learn and succeed.
We’ll pair their voices with evidence-based practices that support student success, breaking down what really works and why. Walk away with practical, easy-to-implement ideas — and a personalized action plan — to boost engagement in your own classroom. Plan to leave re-energized and equipped to make a greater impact.
Learning Objectives
By the end of the training, participants will be able to:
- Discuss student-endorsed teaching strategies that foster engagement and learning
- Develop a plan to use teaching strategies that emphasize well-being, increase the relevance of activities and promote peer-to-peer learning
