Transfer Orientation

Welcome Transfer Students!

Transfer Orientation is a two-phase program designed to support your transition to UAlbany: Transfer Connections and Transfer Orientation during Great Dane Welcome.

Transfer Connections

Transfer Connections are offered either virtually or in-person throughout the summer. The program will include connection with student leaders and peers. You will become acclimated with campus and resources available for transfer students.

Virtual Connection Days will be offered weekly beginning in late-May. In-person Connection Days will be offered on select Wednesdays in June and July. When Orientation registration opens on May 5th, you will be able to choose your date. Please note that certain dates may fill up quickly and availability varies.

Transfer Orientation

Transfer Orientation takes place during Great Dane Welcome on Friday, August 19th. At Transfer Orientation, you will participate in several presentations with your peers, including: Transfer Services, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and Title IX. You will also get to choose from a variety of workshops based on your interest. Workshop topics include: Involvement, Health and Counseling Services, Career Development, and more!

Transfer Orientation is an exciting opportunity for transfer students to connect with the campus community and prepare for life as a Great Dane!

Transfer students will move in to their residence hall from Tuesday, August 16th - Thursday, August 18th.
