COVID-19 Vaccination Guidelines for Newly Admitted Students

All UAlbany students are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and submit proof to UAlbany. Additionally, all students are strongly encouraged to receive a COVID-19 vaccination booster shot as soon as they are eligible. Review UAlbany’s vaccination requirements.

This mandate applies to all newly admitted students who will attend Fall 2022 Orientation and all newly admitted students who will come to any UAlbany campus during the Summer 2022 and/or Fall 2022 semesters.

Information about your next steps (Orientation, housing, registration, etc.) will be posted as soon as May 5, 2022. However, you will not gain access to this information until you have either submitted proof of all required doses of the COVID-19 vaccine or received approval for a medical or religious COVID-19 vaccination exemption from UAlbany.

Please visit the Vaccinate UAlbany webpage to submit proof of vaccination or to request an exemption.

Students are also required to submit proof of immunity to Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR). Please review New York State's MMR requirements.

You will be able to access your next steps one business day after your immunization requirements are fully met.

Note: COVID-19 vaccination exemption requests for the Fall 2022 semester will be accepted until June 8, 2022. If you submit your enrollment deposit after June 8, you have six days to apply for an exemption.
